Community Service

Friends of Rome Lab participate in a variety of community service projects.   Some projects have included :

Angel Tree

Purchasing holiday gifts for the children of incarcerated individuals.

Relay for Life

A 24 hour walkathon to support the American Cancer Society. We are usually part of a joint team with the REA and CGOC.

Easter Baskets of Love

We provided Easter Baskets for children in the foster care system in Oneida County.

Our  Easter Baskets of Love program has become a successful program due in  part to the wonderful participation of the Rome Research site employees. 

We have received   wonderful feedback from the Department of Social Services and others about the generosity of the Rome Lab community. Thank you to everyone who participates.  In addition, we have been able to donate the leftover proceeds from the Easter Baskets of Love fundraisers to the Department of Social Services in Oneida County .
