For those who decide to purchase a home and who need temporary housing until the deal closes or find that they need more time to find a home to rent there are several options. Some hotels may be willing to give you a special monthly rate. While still a costly option, it is cheaper than staying in the hotel on a daily or weekly basis. Some apartment buildings are also sometimes also willing to rent studio or small apartments on a short term basis. Some may even be able to provide furnished units; however, should you only be able to find an unfurnished unit, do not be discouraged.
